Pivot for good

"Pivot" seems to be the word of the moment. An excellent example of ‘pivoting for good’ is how the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, traditionally an art and culture venue, turned its building into a 'consolidation hub' for food and supplies in urgent need. BlackRock CEO Lynn said it was important to give back to the community that has always supported them. KindWorks is providing support and volunteers for the Consolidation Hub - to pack supplies, deliver food, gather items for Covid kits, help collect 2000 toys and gift cards for kids in need, and more. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer, please see our website at www.dokindworks.org. Or try and find a center in your own community to help pack and deliver urgent supplies and donate toys for kids. Grace, our newest Board member and the Hub coordinator, shared a heartwarming story of how one of the first families that was supported through the Hub now comes back every week to donate supplies and volunteer to help others in need. THIS is what community is all about.
