#humankindbysalma : @dokindworks is facilitating efforts to do good during the pandemic. One of our initiatives is ‘Feed the Need’- connecting restaurants who want to donate food to those in need, like @bistroaracosia has been doing for the past several weeks; or encouraging people to pool funds and purchase meals through a local restaurant and deliver to those in need. For example, a friend got together 25 people who are each donating weekly towards Moby Dick meals. Last week this group, 'Dinners without Borders', delivered 138 meals to refugee families through Raghad's @mozaicdmv network; this week, we connected the group to the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless and yesterday they delivered 150 meals to people transitioning out of homelessness, to veterans, and to others in need.
